Ethics in the new millennium; why is it important? Because an understanding of it could make the difference between a successful career and one that ends up shipwrecked upon the shores of ignorance, fear or greed. First we will introduce the subject of ethics, then outline the importance of it to the purchasing professional, and move the discussion from general applications to specifics. Secondly, we will discuss the importance of law, how it relates to ethics, and how law can be used to reach solutions to ethical problems you may face in the purchasing profession.
