Course Outline
  1. Creating a position of plan coordinator by identifying the person and characteristics to identify, defining the plan coordinator's job description and other essential guidelines.
  2. Determining a cross-functional development team including who should comprise a recovery/contingency team at your office, the type of team, characteristics of a team, assigning action items, laying out a project timeline and creating a cross-functional dynamics matrix.
  3. Once plans are in place, defining current status, review of current policy and procedures, outside review and assessment, identifying critical items and requirements, assessing incidental and consequential impacts, managing the sum of potential costs and specific types of hazards.
  4. Performing a business impact analysis including identifying critical business systems, using your business impact analysis and mandated agents.
  5. Identifying the firm's fast-tracked recovery team including roles, responsibilities, team mentorship, team enrollment and future stages.
  6. Developing a recovery strategy and action plans that includes a sample action plan task list and assigning accountability and responsibilities.
  7. Documenting your business continuity plan including background, action items and process maps and procedures.
  8. Beta-testing the plan for gaps and success profiles.
  9. Plan distribution and maintenance.
  10. Creating a model for the supply chain including baseline, SWOT analysis, profile, redundancy and recovery.
