ISM To Offer Exams for CPSD™ Following NMSDC Conference
FOR RELEASE: September 17, 2012
Register now to test on November 1, 2012, in Denver for ISM's supplier diversity designation.
(New York, NY and Tempe, Ariz.) September 17, 2012 — Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM), along with National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc.® (NMSDC®), has arranged for members of either organization to take the two required exams for the Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity® (CPSD™) certification following the 2012 NMSDC Conference and Business Opportunity Fair. The two exams required are the CPSD™ Exam and either Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®) Exam 1 or Certified in Supply Management™ (CSM™) Exam 1. Exams will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Denver, Colorado. Advanced registration is required by October 12, 2012 at www.instituteforsupplymanagement.org/certification/nmsdc.cfm.
The CPSD™ designation is for supplier diversity and supply management professionals who want to strengthen their knowledge in supplier diversity. Earning the CPSD™ demonstrates the understanding of procurement and the entire supply chain, not just supplier diversity.
NMSDC has been instrumental in working with ISM to include diversity subject matter experts in the development of the CPSD™ designation. As a supporter of ISM programs, NMSDC has arranged for these exams to be available for its corporate members on Thursday morning, November 1, 2012, in Denver.
Registration fee for the onsite exams at the NMSDC Conference is US$175 per exam. Non-ISM members save US$124 from the regular non-member rate. Advanced registration is required by October 12, 2012 at www.instituteforsupplymanagement.org/certification/nmsdc.cfm. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
