Deadline Approaches for ISM Academic Grant Applications

(TEMPE, Ariz.) January 6, 2012 — Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM), is accepting applications in three of four grant categories of its Academic Research Support Program. Completed application packets are due by January 31, 2012. Each phase of ISM's Academic Research Support Program has specific selection criteria as well as distinct application and evaluation procedures. The Program seeks applications from researchers and academicians, both domestic and international, for the following programs (grants):
The ISM Dissertation Research Grant encourages doctoral students interested in supply management to develop and complete their dissertation research in supply management or closely related topics. For 2012, ISM intends to support two dissertations at up to US$12,000 each. Each applicant has three years from the date of the award to complete their dissertation.
The Professional Research Development Grant is designed to support assistant and younger associate professors. Faculty selected will generally have two to eight years of teaching and research experience and have successful publication experience beyond the doctoral degree. ISM will fund one grant in 2012 at up to US$10,000.
The ISM Professional Research and Collaboration Grant supports associate and new full professors to establish themselves as recognized authorities in the field. Faculty selected will generally have nine to 18 years of teaching and research experience with recognition for extensive publications, teaching or expertise in academe or the corporate world. One-year projects will not exceed US$15,000 and multi-year projects cannot exceed three years, with a maximum value of US$12,000 per year.
