Service Sector Growth Eases to One-Year Low in June
Rates of expansion in global service sector output and new business both slowed sharply at the end of the second quarter, mainly due to a marked growth deceleration in the US non-manufacturing sector.
At 51.3 in June, the JPMorgan Global Services Business Activity Index — a composite index produced by JPMorgan and Markit in association with ISM and IFPSM — fell to its lowest level in a year. The headline index has nonetheless signaled expansion for 47 months in a row.
